Utilize Teambition projects as unlimited clouds

Teambition is a free business collaboration tool serviced by Alibaba Group. The official name is 阿里巴巴工作学习套件(Alibaba work learning kit), and it can be used for free to all users around the world. The server requires mobile phone authentication to create a Teambition account(it is possible to replace the mobile phone binding with an email binding after login), and the server is divided into Chinese Server and International Server(Account information is not shared between servers).

The difference between Chinese Server and International Server is whether or not to use Teambition网盘(Teambition Drive). Currently, Teambition网盘 is only available on Chinese Server and is in beta testing(Apply for Beta Tester -> 阿里巴巴旗下 Teambition 网盘公测预约表, The invitation code is expected to be available in about 3 months). Teambition网盘 has 1TB of free storage space, but if you become a beta tester, you can get 2TB of storage space.

However, it is not Teambition网盘 that matters. Regardless of Chinese Server and International Server, the space that can be saved in [Project] created in Teambition is unlimited. Therefore, the Teambition project is a kind of unlimited cloud.

For reference, Alibaba Group was selected as the most valuable private company among Chinese private companies in the 2020 ‘Chinese version Forbes’ Hurun Report. Second place is Tencent. Baidu took 48th place.

• Teambition operates separately as a Chinese and international server, and has a separate account. International servers support a more complete English interface than Chinese servers, but Teambition 网盘 cannot be used. Other functions such as project management are the same for both servers.

• Teambition, unlike Baidu NetDisk, is a service that is concerned with overseas users. Therefore, you can use all of them by just passing the mobile phone authentication. After logging in, you can unbind your phone from the account information and replace it with an email binding, and you can create multiple accounts with this repetitive operation(But I do not recommend).

• Free accounts are limited to 10 team members. To lift or extend this restriction, you'll need to make a payment (link to your purchase information).

• Currently, even for free accounts, there is no upload/download speed limit. However, the speed drops at certain times when there are many users.

Using Teambition project as a video streaming server

There are many ways to utilize the Teambition project.

It can also be used as a business collaboration tool for its original purpose. You can also use it as a schedule manager. It is also possible to use the Teambition project as a backup cloud. And it can be used as a video streaming server.

Real-time video playback is possible in the Teambition project(it seems to support up to x264 codec). And if you use the URL address obtained from the browser's right-click menu [Copy Video Address], you can play it with a third-party video player such as PotPlayer. This URL address can also be used by users without a Teambition account. It is not known whether it was intentionally allowed by Alibaba or was not checked, but there are currently no restrictions on the use of video links.

If you use the Teambition project as a substitute for Google Shared Drive Groups, you must lift the limit of 10 team members. Considering that the project storage space is unlimited, the price is inexpensive, and the data reliability is comparable to Google's as Alibaba.

I think it would be good to back up important data to Teambition 网盘(Drive), and save other miscellaneous data to the project folder.
