百度云同步盘 is a Baidu NetDisk (formerly called Baidu Cloud) PC synchronization client. However, the last update to version 3.9.12 was stopped, and now the download link has also disappeared from the Baidu NetDisk homepage. However, users with a Baidu account can still use it. I am one of those.

The purpose of my use of Baidu NetDisk is backup. So, for years, I've been using a sync client to back up important documents to the Baidu Cloud, and I haven't had any special problems except speed. Baidu Cloud often proved its worth while restoring lost documents or files.

BaiduYun supports real-time bidirectional synchronization mode. However, free accounts have a limited upload/download speed (usually 100-400 KB/s). Therefore, it is recommended to use small files, such as documents, to sync to the cloud.

I localized the Chinese version to the English version(using Google machine translation), but it's not perfect. However, it is expected that there will be no major problems in using it. If problems arise, you can get the originals from the source.

How to use 百度同步盘

1. You need a Baidu account. For instructions on how to create a Baidu account, please refer to the following document.

2. Select the sync folder on my computer. You can change the folder name of 百度云同与盘.

3. Select the sync folder of Baidu Cloud. The folder selected here is synchronized to the subfolder of the folder selected in step 2.

4. The icon selected for the sync folder will change as shown in the picture above.

• The Text.txt file created by the test was synchronized immediately.

Users who are reluctant to store personal files on Baidu NetDisk for complex reasons can encrypt files with Cryptomator(a free encryption tool). If the encrypted files are stored in Baidu, the security problem will be solved. For the usage of Cryptomator, refer to the following document.
