AMD 크림슨(Crimson Legacy) 레거시 드라이버에서 OpenCL 사용법

AMD Radeon Crimson 16.2.1 Legacy Driver는 OpenCL 2.0을 위한 드라이버이기 때문에 OpenCL 2.0을 지원하지 못하는 AMD Radeon HD 7xxxx 미만의 구형 VGA에서 이 드라이버를 설치하면 OpenCL을 사용할 수 없다. 그런데 구글링 도중 꼼수로 크림슨 레거시 드라이버에서도 OpenCL을 사용할 방법을 발견했다. 방법은 크림슨 레거시 드라이버 설치 후 재부팅 할 때 바로 안전모드로 진입한 다음 크림슨 레거시 드라이버의 OpenCL 관련 파일을 카탈리스트 15.11.1 드라이버에 포함된 파일로 교체하는 것이다. 문제점은 [Radeon 설정]의 [비디오] 탭 설정을 할 수 없다는 것.

카탈리스트 15.11.1 드라이버의 OpenCL 관련 파일을 모아놓은 OpenCL15.11.1x64.zip은 구글 드라이브 링크에서 받을 수 있다.

위 링크에 제시된 OpenCL 파일 교체 방법

1. Uninstall previous drivers with DDU.

2. Install 15.11.1beta if you don't have all the necessary files listed below.

3. Backup these files to another folder.

4. Uninstall 15.11.1beta with DDU.

5. Install latest Crimson drivers. Reboot straight into safe mode (you won't be able to replace atiumd6a and atiumdva without safemode).

6. Replace the files.

7. Normal boot.
